I’m starring in a short film “The Embers of September.”

I can’t believe it’s already October! I know it’s been longer than usually since you’ve received my E-Note, but I promise you will be hearing much more this fall as some of the projects I’ve been working on the past 6 months are getting off the ground!

I’m not sure if I’ve told you, but one of my passions is traveling. I love discovering life in other lands; their customs, cultures and people. I kicked my summer off with a fun trip to Tulum, Mexico, then had quality family time in Vermont, Estonia and Finland. While overseas, I traveled even more visiting the original Legoland in Denmark with my nephew. It is absolutely remarkable what they’ve built out of millions of Lego’s, but the best part was seeing my nephew’s face filled with joy and excitement!

Can you imagine making a film from beginning to end in 72 hours?!?! I participated in the Actors Green Room 72 hour short film making challenge and was part of a team that created “The Embers of September.” The short film is about a family learning how to live after a tragedy and I am one of the lead characters, the rock of the family, who tries to keep everything together. I’m not allowed to share a link to the film yet since it’s being submitted to the festivals, but the picture attached is a still from the shoot and gives you a feel for it!

Fall is going to be very busy! I’m currently studying at MN Acting Studio, will be recording some music and have two more film shootings ahead of me. I can’t spill the beans yet, but look forward to updating you with exciting news very soon!!!

And finally, here’s something that has happened to me more than once and I thought you would get a laugh:

Mister X “Nice accent. Where are you from?”
Kristi “I’m from Estonia.”
Mister X “Oh yeah? I’ve been to Queens (Astoria)…”

Have a wonderful fall!
Kristi
