I’m reading at the European Literature Night!

I can’t believe it’s already summer!

I hope you had a great spring filled with new experiences and discoveries. I was lucky enough to travel quite a bit – San Francisco with its beautiful coastline, the birthplace of Jazz in New Orleans, flashy Las Vegas and peaceful Finland. Without a doubt, New Orleans stole my heart with its endless jazz bars, delicious food, Hurricane Katrina’s exhibit, Mississippi River and good vibes. I could just sit on a street all day long and listen to the exceptionally talented street musicians sharing their gifts…

If you would like to experience the spirit of European café culture, enjoy books, European food and drinks, please join me this Friday at the Czech Center, which hosts its first European Literature Night. I will be reading Estonian author Rein Raud’s novel “The Brother” in the main room from 8-9pm. In between readings, you can listen to authentic Estonian music and taste famous Estonian black bread. The event is FREE and open to the public! Click here to read more!

And here’s a link to the street musicians Wael and Anna who blew me away with their talent in New Orleans!

Happy Summer!
Kristi
