Sssh, I’m Working On Something Very Exciting!

I hope this year has started off well for you and you’ve had a chance to enjoy the snow!

I took some time off, traveled overseas and spent quality time with my family. In addition to holiday fun, I got to explore beautiful Norway with my husband, Jonathan. We really enjoyed cruising along the fjords and standing on top of the beautiful Norwegian Opera House roof. Did you know that The Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony is held every year in Oslo City Hall, the name “Norway” means “path to the North,” and they invented the cheese slicer!?!?

Now I’m back in the city and working on something very exciting that makes my heart beat fast. I’m beyond honored to collaborate with a brilliant composer David Austin and librettist Alari Koel who are writing a new musical, The Innocence, with a tailored role for me in it. David has written 26 musicals; his latest, Beaches, will premiere on Broadway in the near future. Stephen Sondheim has called David the American musical theatre’s future. Alari is a soulful librettist who has taken on a mission to tell the world a story about Estonia. I can’t tell all of the details about the musical yet, but I promise to keep you updated about its journey!

With best wishes,
Kristi
